KERUN Electric furnace transformers are designed according to IEC/IEEE.

• The electric furnace transformer is also called "smelting transformer", and its load is the electric furnace. Different from general IF equipment. This kind of transformer generally has a primary 10KV, and the secondary varies from 40 to 130 volts as needed. The current ranges from several thousand to tens of thousands of amperes, and the capacity is usually large. Both split and integrated. Use carbon rods as electrodes. Commonly used in electric furnace smelting of special steel, white corundum, electrolytic aluminum, etc.

KERUN Furnace Transformer Advantage:

(1)The mechanical force is small and the strength is good

• The radial electromagnetic force of the electric furnace transformer is small. Although the axial electromagnetic force is relatively large, it can be significantly reduced when there are many flux leakage groups. The windings are completely surrounded by insulating parts, and the iron core surrounds them. The iron core and the fuel tank are clamped with wooden stays, and the whole body is fastened firmly. The short-circuit force is directly transmitted to the oil tank through the insulating part and the iron core, and its mechanical strength is high.

(2)Windings have strong impact resistance

• The electric furnace transformer winding has few wire cakes, large radial size, large capacitance between wire cakes, and small ground capacitance. When the impulse voltage acts on the electric furnace transformer, the initial voltage is linearly distributed, and the voltage gradient is greatly reduced. At the same time, due to the large inherent capacitance of the electric furnace transformer, the winding voltage oscillation time is prolonged, and the transient voltage has decayed before the winding reaches the amplitude, and its winding has a good ability to withstand overvoltage shocks.

(3)Low impedance

• Each phase of the electric furnace transformer can be divided into several magnetic leakage groups, and the radial size of the wire cake is large, and its mechanical force and load loss are small. Since the reactive power of the transformer is greatly reduced, the power factor of the electric furnace naturally increases.

(4)Phase-separated voltage regulation has no effect on the magnetic circuit

• Due to the asymmetry of the three-phase magnetic flux of the split-phase voltage regulation, the core transformer must use a five-column iron core. But in the core of the shell-type transformer, each phase already has an independent magnetic circuit, and the asymmetry of the magnetic circuit does not affect the design of the core.

(5)The leads are short and easy to balance the impedance

• The lead-out wires and branch wires are drawn out from the upper part of the winding as short as possible, and the low-voltage winding leads can be of the same length, thereby eliminating the impedance imbalance of the low-voltage lead wires and reducing the power transfer during the operation of the electric furnace.

(6)Low loss

• The winding of the transformer adopts the structure with multiple magnetic leakage groups. When the capacity of a single transformer increases, the number of flux leakage groups also increases at the same time, but the capacity of each flux leakage group does not increase, so the leakage flux density, transformer axial short-circuit force and the ratio of additional loss do not increase, There will be no local overheating. The long side of the rectangular winding of the transformer is surrounded by the iron core, and the leakage flux diffusion space of the exposed winding is small, and the additional loss is reduced. The winding is surrounded by the iron core, which has a certain shielding effect, and the stray loss of the fuel tank is small.
